To complement her Dressed for Dinner tableware, Marianne van Ooij (a Dutch designer who now lives in the United States) has imagined the “Blue Print  Dinner Textiles” series, showing the design process of tableware. On tablecloth, placemats and napkins, a technical drawing shows dimensions, comments and directions for the production of plates, glassware and utensils.

“When dining, people get a glimpse back in time of how their tableware was designed.
In the meantime, the beauty of the technical drawing serves as a nice backdrop for interesting dinner conversation!”
