Atelier OÏ x Venini, Stelle Filenti
The Swiss design studio Atelier Oï created the "Stelle Filenti" ("shooting stars") hanging lamps for Venetian company Venini. Venini's art director Roberto Gasparotto invited Atelier Oï to experiment with the most traditional Venetian artistic craft material, glass, combined with leather and Alcantara fabric. A net supports and envelops the top of the blown-glass diffuser.

5 seconds to pitch a story: Milan-based creative studio H-57 collaborated with First Floor Under to depict the story of famous people in history, using infographics. The pictogram posters feature the stories of Michael Jackson, Napoleon, Julius Caesar, Marie-Antoinette, Jesus, Adolf Hitler, The Beatles or Bruce Lee.

Inga Sempé & Wästberg, w103 Suspension
« Nul n’est prophète en son pays »: s’il est (trop) rarement montré en France, le travail de la designer Inga Sempé a été dûment célébré durant la Stockholm Design Week, faisant l’objet de plusieurs expositions. Invitée d’honneur de la Furniture & Light Fair 2012, plus important événement du marché du design nordique, elle exposait ses oeuvres au sein du généreux « lounge » scénographié par ses soins. La nouvelle déclinaison de ses luminaires w103 pour Wästberg (une suspension déclinée de la lampe de table) y figurait entre diverses productions pour Edra, Moustache, Ligne Roset… La firme suédoise de luminaires Wästberg consacrait également à Ia designer une exposition rétrospective au sein du Skridskopaviljongen sur Skeppsholmen, « Inga Sempé. Illuminated by Wästberg » : dessins, maquettes y racontaient le processus créatif derrière chaque design, réunis dans un livre éponyme édité à cette occasion.
« No man is a prohet is his own country »: French designer Inga Sempé’s work is rarely showcased in France, but was duly celebrated during the Stockholm Design Week, through various events and exhibitions. Guest of honour of the Furniture & Light Fair 2012, the most important event in the field of nordic design, she has been invited to curate the lounge’s scenography. The designer’s new w103 pendant lamps for Wästberg were on show, along with her works for Edra, Moustache, Ligne Roset… The Swedish lighting company Wästberg also offered the designer a retrospective exhibition, held at the Skeppsholmen’s Skridskopaviljongen. « Inga Sempé. Illuminated by Wästberg » displayed various sketches and scale models depicting the designer’s creative process, many of them featuring in an eponymous book published on this occasion.
