In Sydney, you can visit this design exhibition 24/7: design exhibition Object Space is a newly created window gallery located in the window of the Australian Design Centre Offices on William Street in Darlinghurst. The exhibition space has direct street frontage, is accessible to view 24 hours a day and is lit for viewing at night.
The Australian Design Centre plays a critical role in celebrating the work of Australian makers who embrace the highest degree of craftsmanship and who continually explore material, process and ideas to advance contemporary craft and design practice.
Until 24 March 2018, Object Space will display Play Up: Exploring objects through humour therapy in dementia care, by Tasman Munro and Jean-Paul Bell. This project involved the making of objects to support humour therapy in dementia care and was a collaboration between Tasman Munro, a social designer interested in creating objects that bring life to communities and Jean-Paul Bell, a “humourmanitarian” with a long history in the arts and health industry. The Play Up program was developed in conjunction with the Art’s Health Institute.
