It’s a bike, it’s a scarf! When designers play with words…

Do you know the meaning of "vélo"? In French, it means "bike", in Italian it's a scarf. Playful ladies Marie de Cossette and Francesca Montà decided that the coincidence was funny and asked designers to imagine… bike-inspired scarves, of course. Wheels, World Championships colors, Tour de France heroes…  28 designers let their imagination pedal wild. Back from an exhibition around Europe, you can now visit the online webshop  and grab a piece by A+A Coren, Design Marketo, Antoine Lesur, Ju Hee Park, Joachim Jirou-Najou…

J’aime Bookhou ce que vous faites

Au nombre de leurs créations destinées aux enfants, on devine que les designers John Booth et Arounna Khounnoraj développent souvent les produits pour leur propre usage familial. Grand bien leur fasse : le design de Bookhou, un studio multidisciplinaire inauguré en 2002 à Toronto, est à la fois pratique, écologique (recyclage, bois brut) et d'une élégance discrète. Judging by the numerous items designed for kids, one can guess that John Booth and Arounna Khounnoraj often create products for their own use. Bookhou's duet is practical, sustainable and elegantly low-key, keen on upcycling and enhancing raw wood. The (furniture, textile, graphic) design studio was founded in 2002 in Toronto.
