The “Dixonary” is out! In his own words, Tom Dixon reveals for the first time his inspirations of the last 30 years. Hundreds of pictures illustrate the book, published by Violette Editions. If the name of Robert Violette doesn’t ring any bell, suffice to say the publisher is responsible for Damien Hirst’s first monography (published in 1997, before the Hirst-mania hit the world) as well as The Jeff Koons Handbook, and many other books dedicated to the works of Louise Bourgeois, Gilbert & George, Sophie Calle, or fashion designer Paul Smith. London-based Robert Violette was also the editor of the late and renowned “Tate Magazine“.
