Kasthall lets Shakespeare in your living room

Othello ? The name given to a new, three color-block woven rug from the Kasthall design studio – yes, named after Othello, the drama in three acts by William Shakespeare…

Designer Maja Johansson was inspired by industrial materials and was experimenting with braided rope when making Othello. This three-shuttle woven rug is made up of three different blocks of color of equal sizes, in which one of three colors sets the tone in the different blocks. The result is eclectically playful and clean-lined at the same time.

Othello is available in three colour combinations, with one combination being more subdued in tone than the two others. The rug is part of the new « Arrival of Origin » collection of the Swedish company (Kasthall was founded in 1889, with its factory still in Kinna, west Sweden)
